WAIT UNTIL DARK – Role Descriptions & Sides
In a 1944 Greenwich Village apartment, a blind woman is threatened by criminals in search of a very “special” doll. As the climax builds, Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, IF she can manage to stall her tormentors until dark. This masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward a heart-stopping finale.

Gloria: (She/her, Any race/ethnicity, Reads age 12-13) Gloria stands at the door of adolescence, though she is still, in many ways, a child. A neighbor of Susy, she is the product of a difficult homelife and at times she is impetuous and rude. While she may be prone to throwing a tantrum, she bares a deeply good heart. Her crush on Sam makes her jealous of Susan, who often treats her like a surrogate mother. Ultimately, though she is in an awkward phase, she is brave and heroic and willing to help Susan when she needs it most. (Gloria SIDE)
Sam Hendrix: (He/him, Any race/ethnicity, Age: 35) Sam is an ex marine and a practical man. He has taken to his photography, though he is not a particularly artistic soul. He is devoted to his new marriage and loves Susan, though struggles to know how to help her. He has a sensitive side though he does not always say or do the right thing. Though he is a smart person, he is at times, uncomfortable acting as a caring protector to his wife. (Sam SIDE)
JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT – Role Descriptions & Sides
This beloved musical reimagines the Biblical story of Joseph, a magical tale packed with adventures, beguiling characters (like the Elvis-inspired Pharoah), and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s brilliant score, full of catchy songs from country-western (“One More Angel in Heaven”) to Caribbean (“Benjamin Calypso”), along with the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.”
SEEKING:
Brothers- Levi, Simeon, Naphtali, Gad, Issachar, Asher, Dan, Zebulon, and Benjamin: While all Brothers are portrayed as cis-male, we are open to gender expansive casting for these tracks. Any race/ethnicity, Age range: 25+, Tenor/Baritone/Bass.
Perform 16-32 bars of a song selection of your choice in the style of the show
EITHER “Benjamin Calypso” (Backing Track, Sheet Music) OR “Those Canaan Days” (Backing Track, Sheet Music)
Female Ensemble: (She/her, Any race/ethnicity, Age range: 18+, Soprano/Alto, Strong dancers) Ensemble will portray the brothers’ wives, Egyptian Guards and others. All must be strong singers/ dancers.
